Trusted Professionals

With over 200 years of combined experience, we are dedicated to curating the most skilled and experienced personnel from around the world.

Our executive management team consists of professionals from Canada, the United States – who bring tremendous experience in international trade, government regulation/compliance, import/export logistics, retail/wholesale sales, product development, marketing, manufacturing and display production.

Our Cambodian management team provides us with invaluable cultural awareness and communication, acting as our liaison between the MOD and the local factory staff, as well as managing our facilities, warehousing and domestic logistics.

As China currently produces the majority of the world’s fireworks – the technical skills, equipment and many specialty materials have had to be imported. We have worked tirelessly to curate the best technicians and production managers from China, all of whom are eager to share their craft with the Cambodian people. While our Chinese technical staff will lead our production efforts initially, Cambodian apprentices have been assigned to each of them, working side-by-side to learn the skills and gain the experience necessary to make CFC’s products truly Cambodian.

Company History

The concept for the Cambodian Fireworks Company (CFC) began in 2013 when Canadian business owners Rod and Wendy Cameron began to see a shift in the global supply for fireworks. Chinese fireworks manufacturers had begun to consolidate; which lead to less competition, higher prices and reduced supply. The need for a world-class fireworks factory outside of China became increasingly apparent, for the stability and prosperity of the global fireworks industry.

After visiting and assessing numerous Southeast Asian countries, Cambodia was settled upon due to its potential for growth, workforce and compatibility with Western business culture. Building on pre-existing relationships within Cambodia, CFC was founded in 2015 and established in cooperation with Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense, under the guidance of His Excellency General Chao Phirun, Director of General Department of Technical Materials, Ministry of National Defense.

Construction of the factory began in 2015 and its first containers where exported in 2017. While primarily designed to serve markets in Canada and the United States, CFC has the distinct honour of helping to establish Cambodia’s domestic market for fireworks.

Factory Details

The factory is located on more than 200 acres of land, nestled amongst the mango orchards and sugar cane fields of Kampong Speu province. Just off National Road 4, the factory is strategically positioned, giving us easy access to Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. The company is equipped with a high level of automation and consists of over 200 structures, capable of producing a full range of fireworks, as well as black powder production and pyrotechnic fuse. Security is provided, a full-time detail from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, who maintain the security of the factory, as well as adherence to company policies and a variety of support roles.

Our Products

The factory was designed and equipped to produce any and all categories of fireworks; from the smallest consumer items to the largest display shells. However, we will initially focus on the selection of products that are most saleable internationally, aiding in our growth and development.

All products are produced to the UN Default Classification and are tested randomly by each country’s governing body.
